Help us pick a name

Erin and I still haven’t decided on a name so we’re throwing the list up on the internet to see what name is the most popular.  Of course, we have final say in what our first born’s handle is going to be, but we’ll pretend this is a democratic process for now.  You can pick two names, a first and middle.  If you don’t like any names on the list, leave your suggestion in the comments below.

Our due date has come and gone, but the disbelief and shock that God allowed us to conceive still remains.  As I think over the past nine months or so, the first memory that comes to mind is seeing and hearing our baby’s heartbeat for the very first time.  Due to some complications at 6 weeks, the doctor did an ultrasound and by the grace of God, we got to clearly hear and see the little jelly bean’s heart pumping away.  At 18 weeks, we got to find out the gender of our baby: BOY!!  By this point, the baby had transformed from a tiny tadpole to an active little person with identifiable arms and legs.  The day after Dan left for Basic Training (about 19 weeks), I felt the baby move for the first time and he’s been practicing his soccer kicks ever since.  While in California, my parents gifted us with a 3D/4D ultrasound package.  So around 33 weeks, my mom and I got to see our little guy’s face crystal clear – he was even blinking and his mouth sucking.  Seriously cute!  Now, here we are two days overdue. And as uncomfortable as this stage of pregnancy is, I still am thankful and overwhelmed by God’s goodness for the experience and opportunity to be pregnant.  Feeling the baby move and seeing my belly ripple continues to bring inexpressible joy to my heart and a smile on my face.  Only God knows if I’ll ever be able to be pregnant again.  So, for now, I’ll continue to enjoy every minute, hour, day or, dare I say, weeks of carrying this sweet boy.

We are completely blessed by the support, prayers, love, encouragement and excitement that has and continues to surround us and our baby.  Thank you to all of our friends and family!
